On November 22, 2007 I started to feel ill. At first we thought it might be an ulcer. Soon after I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Carcinoma metastasized to the Liver. At this point it has only spread to my liver, but is quite advanced. The doctors have told me I have anywhere from 1 to 4 years to live. I do have a chance of getting rid of the cancer or extending my life expectancy if I can get a liver transplant and surgery on my pancreas.

Hello Mark, I'm a friend of your father-in-law, Pat Schruben. GREAT to hear the tests went aok. My family and I are sending positive thoughts and wishes your way each and every day. Pat reached out to me, and it turns out my sister-in-law is a nurse with one of THEE top pancreatic cancer docs in the country (out here in NYC), so hopefully she's gotten back to you with some information as promised. I'll be sure and check with her this week to make sure that's happened. LiveSTRONG!!! peace, - Tom T

Hey Tom,
Thanks for visiting the blog and thank you very much for putting us in contact with your sister-in-law. We have been in contact with her and she has been a great help in providing us with more information. Jenna and I both appreciate you and your families support. I've have been using the LiveStrong book you sent. I especially like all of the success stories. Thank you for that also.
Mark
