On November 22, 2007 I started to feel ill. At first we thought it might be an ulcer. Soon after I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Carcinoma metastasized to the Liver. At this point it has only spread to my liver, but is quite advanced. The doctors have told me I have anywhere from 1 to 4 years to live. I do have a chance of getting rid of the cancer or extending my life expectancy if I can get a liver transplant and surgery on my pancreas.

Mark,
A remarkable story. I just found your blog a couple of days ago. I haven't read all of it yet but I am extremely interested and intend to do so. My 28 year old wife has the exact same condition. Her PNET was also stage IV with liver mets when discovered in October 2008. I would be very interested in getting in touch with you by email if you are interested. My address is shind@hotmail.com. I have one quick question regarding your diagnosis if you don't mind - is yours a case of well differentiated or poorly differentiated cancer cells? I hope to hear from you and I totally understand if you do not have the time or the energy to write. I wish you and your family all the best through this difficult time.
